« Under the high patronage of his Majesty the King Mohammed VI, the Forum on Artificial Intelligence took place in the Rabat campus, in partnership with Ai Movement and the UNESCO and other major actors. Organized and hosted by UM6P from the 3rd to 5th of June 2024, this event was an occasion to dicuss the latest advancements of AI as a key component of our sustainable development strategy.
The newly inaugurated UM6P AI Dome serves as a hub for research and innovation, fostering collaboration among researchers, industry leaders and international partners like UNESCO and ENGIE.
During this Forum, high-level delegations and experts from more than 20 countries covered pressing issues, such as:
– The latest advancements and applications of #AI in #Morocco and #Africa.
– The new #Governance and AI-friendly regulation policies to improve the citizens’ life.
– The importance of digitalization in the major sectors (Education, health, society…) and the new ways of benefiting from it.
Today, our vision for AI is illustrated by ethics and responsibility, aiming to support Morocco and Africa in leading an AI-oriented future, incorporating it across education, research, societal issues and community engagement initiatives to foster innovation and sustainable empowerment all over our continent.
